Dear 2977 members
Your Bargaining Committee is happy to announce that the Collective Agreement that was presented to you has has passed, with 78% of the membership voting in favour!
The Committee wants to thank you all for your support, responding to surveys, attending meetings, taking action in our strike vote, signing the petition to the Board of Directors, joining and supporting the Strike Committee - it was this collective action that made it possible for the Bargaining Committee to get the best deal. As we said at the meetings, it was not just the 5 Bargaining Committee members, it was all 265 of you standing along side us.
Our new collective agreement has some of the best wage increases in the Developmental Service Sector, we have made history in Ontario.
This is proof that there is power in collective action.
In Solidarity,
Your CUPE 2977 Bargaining Committee
